I have a Zaxxon, its in a plain white box:

it is a colecovision box, meaning it has the cartboard insert type slot inside to hold the cart.
Is this a replacement box? the original zaxxon had artwork on it, yes?

I'm guessing that it is. The original had the standard color Coleco cartridge package layout (arcade machine photo on front and screen shots and description on reverse side). Not sure how this white packaging came about.

This reminds me of a pack-in box. Was Zaxxon ever bundled with the system ever? Very cool and thanks for sharing.

Way back when the Colecovision was well on its way out, Colecovision games with plain white labels sold in blister packs showed up at some Toys R Us in Canada. They've come up in discussion here on occasion before, though as far as I know no one has ever quite gotten to the bottom of where they came from and what their story is. Presumably they were overstock from Colecovision Canada.
Obviously this is not a white-label game in a blister pack. I guess they still had some proerly-labelled games?
