I am looking to get an atari 2600 but don't really know much about the values and whatnot for them. There are two listings near me and I was just trying to find out what would be a fair price. The first one, which is actually on my way home from work is

I have Atari 2600 with 140 games about 8 controllers and power plug that was bought at radio shack. selling as is not sure if it works been sitting around. some games are doubled. this is an as is sale.make offers.text is best.

There is no price listed and I have not heard back from him yet. There are also no pictures listed.

The other is about a 45 minute drive from me and he said he wants $60.

Up for sale is a collection of 52 Atari cartridges. Also included is an Atari console with only TV cord. Power cord is included but has been chewed and not sure if safe to repair. Sorry no controllers available. I have the original Atari owners manual and 15 of the game manuals all included. I will list the games below, only one has 2 copies which is Bowling. And one mystery game as it has no labels. Make an offer.

Games included are:
Megamania
Grand Prix
Missile command
Space invaders
Freeway
Stampede
Skiing
Roc'n rope
Demon attack
Infiltrate
Combat
Mrs PAC man
PAC man
Berzerk
River raid
Centipede
Video pinball
Gopher
Flash gordan
Pitfall
Frogger
Venture
Squeeze box
Outlaw
Kaboom
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr
Lock n' chase
Super breakout
Asteroids
Sea quest
Target fun
Defender
Turmoil
Circus Atari
Trick shot
Casino
Night driver
Baseball
Football
Basketball
Human cannonball
E.T.
Reactor
Years revenge
Raiders of the lost ark
Qbert
Star wars return of the Jedi
Spiderman
Bowling x2

There are a couple pictures too and they look like everything is in decent condition.

I just found this one too which is about 45 minutes from me as well.

Atari 2600 & 7800 systems + 55 games - $50

2600 system and joystix work fine, 7800 system is without power cord and av cable and untested... all games are clean & tested with full labels. FIRM cash price and pickup only

Should I try to get one of those (depending on the price for the first one) or keep looking?

Thanks.

I would definitely go for the $50 2600/7800 package. You should know that 7800 power adapters are not a common thing to find in the wild. Not super expensive mind you just not easy to happen upon.

7800 has way better arcade conversions.

Ok, thanks. I was wondering how hard the missing stuff would be to find.

There's nothing all that rare in the first listing of Atari 2600 games, if it's not at a decent price I wouldn't bother. The Atari 7800 is a much better deal, and power supplies aren't too uncommon, at least in my area. But then, there's a lot of stores that sell retro games around me.
