This "exploration game" recently came out, after some minor fanfare. It's all about exploring a house and trying to find where your family went.
I've beaten it, and the story/setting was really good. Anyone else pick it up?

Sounds like a more interactive version of Dear Esther. I wanted to try it out, but $18 seems pretty steep for such a game IMO. Do you feel it was worth the money?

It'll take you three to four hours to beat it the first time, and more if you want to explore everything that the house has to offer. I quite enjoyed it, even though I correctly predicted the ending about an hour in. That's kind of the point of the game, that it is what it is and isn't trying to shock or scare you.

Also: I beat the game in less than two minutes after running through it the first time.

Damn lies. Nobody figured out the Selenitic Age in the first half hour, I'm sure. Remember the five sounds?

I think he means you can beat Myst in two minutes if you know the answer to the fireplace puzzle on the hub island.

Hmm, I should have remembered that after figuring out that the original post in this thread really meant that "after I spent a week playing Myst, I was able to use the code in a new game." What a shame? I guess all a game needs to be dignified is a lot of trackless waste between yourself and the finish line in order to be cool like this.

At least Myst was less pretentious...
