My God, what's happened to the price of Bonk (NES)?

I bought Bonk for the NES about a year ago. I bid way more than I should have and immediately regretted it.

I paid $80 for it (loose).

I checked eBay today and the recent completed transactions are between $200-$300 loose, in the same condition as mine or a little worse.

What the hell happened?

Obsessive NES collectors with money to burn, or maybe they were just bought up by all the re-sellers? I'm curious if that's what happened with Wayne's World, as well... Generally speaking, a lot of late-release NES games have surged in value over the past couple years. I'm kicking myself for not buying Felix the Cat the times I saw it for $10 loose; ebay prices have gotten pretty nuts, with no sign of slowing...
