I have Midway Arcade Treasures 1 and 2 for the PS2 and was wondering if I could use a steering wheel controller on the driving games. I saw a wheel at a local pawn shop that I could probably get cheap but the driving games on those discs are the only driving games I own.

I've got the game, but I wish I had a PS2-compatible steering wheel to test it for you. My gut instinct says no, but I could very well be wrong.

I'm pretty sure you can use a steering wheel controller to play any game on the PS1 or PS2, turning the wheel is like pressing left or right. The rest of the buttons are on the steering wheel itself so you can use it like any other controller.

That might not work so hot. Those games had their control schemes recoded to work with the analogue sticks, which are much more sensitive than the wheels. I've experimented using wheels on all sorts of pc games, etc. when u try to use a wheel on a game coded for a stick, the wheel is extremely sensitive and makes the game unplayable.

In addition, super sprint and apb are designed to work with free spinning wheels, but console wheels only turn about 180 degrees in either direction. I don't think it's gonna work too well, if at all.

Have you tried the 3rd? Nothing but racing games on that game. I played Super Off Road and that just kept on going forever!

That might be why I hate using racing wheels so much, any I've come across I either sold or given away.
