The 2003 Classic Game Expo took place at Jackie Gaughan's Union Plaza Hotel in beautiful downtown Las Vegas.

Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Inside, a plethora of video game vendors, exhibitors, and arcade games awaited giddy attendees.

Over 50 arcade units were at the show this year. No quarters required--save them for the casino slots!

Gamers could get their groove on to the techno stylings of 8-Bit Weapon.

Other video game inspired music acts also performed, such as the C-Men.

The Classic Game Museum was on display again this year, and better than ever! The Smithsonian pales in comparison.

Classic Video Game Jeopardy tested the knowledge of the world's foremost gaming authorities. "Sorry, you didn't phrase your answer in the form of a question!"

The swap-meet began after the close of the first day's exhibition at 5:00pm Saturday. Step right up and make an offer!

At 6:00pm, it was time for the auction to start--featuring tons of rare games, consoles, and free beer (to get those bids flowing). This brand new Odyssey and set of six games didn't quite meet its reserve, despite lots of interest from the crowd.

Videogame champions were honored at this year's CGE. This is about as close as I'll ever get to making the list!

The Digital Press family gets together for a group shot on Sunday afternoon. See you all at CGE 2004!
