I was watching a show about fighting games, and how some fighting game players helped design the attacks in the game, and to make sure the game was playable for anyone it was one guys job to get through the whole game by only jumping and using one attack. Can anyone back this story up?

Actually it was Rise of the Robots, on the Amiga/PC. It was the first fighting game with computer rendered graphics, but had the playability of a dead corpse. It was hyped beyond hell, it was said that the game would have adaptable difficulty, the opponents would learn your style and adapt to it, all sorts of bullshit.

Yes, it's true, you can get thru most fights only by pressing up and hitting the button. Also, you cannot turn back, so if you get behind the opponent, you cannot hit it anymore (nor can him).

Sometimes, while play Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the PS3, I find myself using the same punch button over and over in Arcade Mode. ROFL I win almost every time.
