MediEvil, maybe?

I guess you're not counting games like Vice City Stories that were ported from the PSP.

Tales of Eternia (Known as Tales of Destiny II on PS1 in the US)
Tales of Destiny 2 (Originally a PS2 game released only in Japan)
Tales of Phantasia (Originally released on Super Famicom, then PS1, then GBA, and finally PSP)
Tales of Rebirth (Originally a PS2 game released only in Japan)

None of the PSP versions were released in the US, but Tales of Eternia was released in Europe.

Lunar Silver Star Harmony isn't a port. It's a remake.

PoPoLoCrois is a port of PoPoLoCrois 1 and PoPoLoCrois 2 in Japan.
Monster Hunter Portable and Monster Hunter Portable 2 I think are ports of Monster Hunter 1 and 2. Not sure about this, but I know one or the other or both is a port.
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max
Legend of Heroes Tear of Vermillion is Legend of Heroes 4 in Japan.
Legend of Heroes 2 Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch is Legend of Heroes 3 in Japan.

Exactly what I was gonna say.

Although I half-expect a certain someone to pop in and start a flame war over this. *Starts watching his back*

Yeah, I'll take them. Mostly what I'm looking for is (PS2/PS1 => PSP), but I'll accept all (PS2 + PSP) or (PSP=>PS2) as well.

Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars is an enhanced port of Crazy Taxi 1 (and 2).

I so want to mention Ys: Ark of Napishtim, but according to wikipedia it is more a port of the PC original, rather than the PS2 version, so.. eh?

Then you should remove Breath of Fire III. It was never released in the US.

As for PSP games that were ported to PS2, theres Ratchet and Clank Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank.

Ape Escape: On the Loose
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger Portable
Gradius Collection
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus

These work.

Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus was on PS2 and PSP.
Gradius Collection consists of 1, 2, 3, 4, and Gradius Gaiden. PSX has Gradius Deluxe(1 and 2) and Gradius Gaiden. PS2 has Gradius 3 and 4 as one game.
Ape Escape On the Loose is a remake.

Just helping out in case Zthun doesn't know where the games come from.

This doesn't work.

BlazBlue first released on PS360. The PSP game is a port of the PS360 title. Series never came out on the PS2.

Well actually, for a lot of these games its the other way around! Games like Twisted metal, syphon filter (worst IP name ever!!) and gta were originally released on psp and later ported to ps2 late in its lifecycle.

PS2 Simple 2000 Vol.106 The Block Kuzushi Quest ~ Dragon Kingdom ~
PSP The Block Kuzushi Quest ~ Dragon Kingdom

I haven't played the PSP release. From what I can tell they appear to be the same games.

edit: whoops, I overlooked that you are asking for US releases.

Then you need to add Twisted Metal: Head On

This might be just me being picky, but it might be worthwhile to note when the PSP port has significant upgrades.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max for example has additional characters and game modes.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max for example has additional characters and game modes.

99% of the games ported to the PSP have some extras because they're required. Breath of Fire 3 has extra fishing mode. Disgaea has an additional story mode as Etna like if she killed Laharl at the beginning. Final Fantasy Tactics is retranslated and has some extras like the Dark Knight class, Onion Knight class, Balthier, etc. Star Ocean Second Evolution has 99.9% of the main scenes voice acted and a lot of private event scenes voiced, along with another extra character and a triple attack instead of single attack.

Basically they're ports, just enhanced ports. Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together is enhanced more than most that it is a completely different game from the original in terms of how the game plays.

Speaking of whether something is a port or not, isn't Phantom Brave: Heroes of the Hermuda Triangle actually a sequel?

Speaking of whether something is a port or not, isn't Phantom Brave: Heroes of the Hermuda Triangle actually a sequel?

Haven't played it, but from Amazon...

"Phantom Brave: Heroes of the Hermuda Triangle is a single player turn-based tactical Role-Playing game (RPG) for play on the PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld gaming system. A reimagining of the original 2004 Phantom Brave game for PS2, Heroes of the Hermuda Triangle utilizes the franchises play mechanism known and the "CONFINE" system which combines usable phantom characters with elements of a map, allowing for unique movement throughout the game, attacks and play opportunities that are limited only by your imagination. Additional features include: new story chapters, characters, items not seen in the original game release and randomly generated dungeons. "

So basically like Disgaea. Same game with extra content added.
