Regardless of whether you believe SteamOS, Steam Machines, or the Steam Controller will do well, one thing is clear: this ain't your daddy's console war. With such a heavy focus on the PC market and a Linux-based operating system from Valve's end, an entertainment and television-focused Xbox One, and a gaming-centric PlayStation 4, it hardly seems appropriate to compare today's market to the old Nintendo vs. Sega days.

We get all range of ages visiting this site, so I'm curious: how do you see the console "wars" today? How would you compare them to the battles of yester-year? What do you think the next generation's fight will look like, or do you think there even will be a next generation? Think over your answers while perusing this week's selection of webcomics, why don't you?
