As I was messing around with the virtual arcade in Pac-Man World 2 tonight I started wondering what other video games have virtual arcades in them, so I started this thread to create a list.

Pac-Man World 2
Shenmue
Project Gotham Racing
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
GTA San Andreas
Catherine
Namco Museum
Beavis and Butthead
Donkey Kong 64
Machinarium
PlayStation Home
Xbox's Arcade Room
Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures
Intellivision Lives!
Virtual Springfield

Cool topic! The Legend of the Mystical Ninja comes to mind -- in addition to an assortment of minigames accessible through certain shops, it features an arcade with a fun lil' Gradius Jr. kind of thing.

GTA San Andreas has a arcade in a club, it has a Crystal Castles like game, and a space shooter.

You could play a mini game called Butt Fighter in some of the arcade cabinets that were scattered around the SNES Beavis and Butthead game.

Machinarium for the PC has an arcade in it, playing the games are necessary to finish the main game though so I'm not sure if it counts.

Good call!! I haven't played that game in ages. I can't recall if this game was in the arcade or not.

The game IS a virtual arcade!! New Retro Arcade for the Oculus Rift DK2 looks amazing. Imagine being able to virtually meet up with buddies across the country or planet and play throw down on some Tekken or team up on some Final Fight!

If namco museum counts, so should the various Midway Arcade packages for PC/Console and also that Konami arcade colletion for the DS, and there was a GBA one as well (DS one is crazy has a lot of straight arcade ports.)

It seems like I remember an arcade interface in at least one of the Midway Arcade Treasures titles.

Space Quest VI has a three stooges arcade fighting game you can play which was pretty unique. Not sure if this counts as it is a PC game but it was certainly one of the most memorable parts of this game.

If those count, then every compilation disk of arcade games counts.

I think some of these compilations have been mentioned not because of their content, but because of their interfaces. Take Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Collection and its arcade interface as an example. I think Tanooki mistuck that as people just mentioning any and all arcade collections.

Has Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection been mentioned yet? Been years since I fired up the previous Gottlieb release and don't remember its interface, but this one definitely counts.

I would think williams pinball hall of fame would count. It's menu you go through when picking a table is set up like a arcade.

The Gottlieb and Williams hall of fame pinball games both have a pinball hall with the machines you scroll over to and activate, even the larger Pinball Arcade is kind of this way as you scroll through coin mechs and back glass art, select a game and then it scrolls around the full table until you hit a button/touch it to get the game fired up.

The Midway collection that I kind of mentioned, the tablet release has a faux arcade hall which has the various machines you can 'walk' up to to play.
