View Full Version : I have received a Vectrex, question about controllers

The controller that came with my Vectrex is an Atari 7800 controller, the controls are a bit weird with it, on Mine Storm the built in game, like the two side buttons turn the ship when both pressed, and pushing the stick sometimes moves the ship, makes the ship warp or fires. I am looking for a place to buy one of those modified Sega Genesis controllers to use.

Good luck finding a working controller for it. They are hard to come by and super expensive as well.

The Portland Gaming Expo is this weekend. Chuck is probably saving everything for it. But he'll offer them again after the Expo.

I can't imagine an Atari 7800 controller working well at all. The Vectrex controller had four buttons, and the stick was analog, not digital. I was going to point you to John Dondzilla's website, I bought a Sega Genesis controller rewired for the Vectrex years ago, but it seems like he's stopped doing that. I guess he ran out of Genny gamepads to rewire.
