Name of this song?

So, a friend of mind grew up playing lots of Cobra Command (also called Thunder Storm). Just a bit ago, he heard the intro theme on some commercial (and he didn't take note of what the commercial was...), but the song had lyrics. Apparently the theme for Cobra Command uses an instrumental version of some rock song. Google has failed me thus far, so I turn you arcade kids out there.
