i got 3 game sharks version 3.3 but only 1 of them seems to boot. if i try using the non working ones i get nothing. not really sure if there is a way to fix this. i don't remember seeing any broken solder joints when had the covers off. i did notice it did not have the display like the working game shark but from what i read the number display is just a older version that has been re flashed. tried all the games i have with them and nothing. don't know where to go from here.

If they aren't defective, they're more than likely trapped in "Lock Mode". First party N64 games (i.e. Super Mario 64, Pilotwings, etc) required a bizarre set-up to get around Nintendo's anti-cheat device programming. If i recall correctly, you essentially had to turn the GS on, choose the game and codes, and then turn off the GS / N64, then swap in the Nintendo brand game you wanted and reboot.

However it "locked" the GameShark to the specific game; it would not boot up with any other game unless you turned off the codes with the chosen game on it.

Yeah so the best solution here is to keep trying it by putting different kinds of games in it. Try Super Mario 64, Yoshi's Story, Star Fox 64, Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye 007 and Donkey Kong 64 to start. If I remember right 1080 Snowboarding had a setting but I don't remember what other games were on that list with it.

ok. i ended up trying to stack the non working game shark on top of the working game shark and then mario kart 64 on top and things seemed to load. now i just have to get near a working computer with a printer port to try hooking it up to. the only laptop i have with printer port seems too slow and software keeps crashing.
