Found this the other day at the thrift. Apparently only 100 of them were made? What do you guys think?

Did you search the forums? I think this came up once before, but I don't recall if anyone had any idea about worth. Seems like an easy one to fake, but if this is the second one to turn up, well, maybe it's for real. Good price regardless!

Looks like the jewel on the top is really the unique part. There was a post on assembler maybe 6 months ago here:

One person quoted selling it for about $85. If it was me I would sit on it because:
1) Only 100 made is pretty small
2) Nintendo folks will drive up the cost of GC stuff just like they've done with N64 so it will probably go up in value.

Thanks. I think I'm going to hold onto it. And probably buy a mint black console, as this one is a bit beat. As far as I can tell the only difference between the two is just the logo on top.

For now I've taken off the jewel and put it into a protective casing to prevent any more scuffing than it already has.
