Hi,
Anyone have any early reviews/impressions of the newly found and homebrew games that debuted or demoed at CGE this year?
:D

Scott wrote a couple of reviews before the show:
Looping (http://www.digitpress.com/archives/cc_looping.htm)
Entity (http://www.digitpress.com/archives/cc_entity.htm)
Rush Hour (http://www.digitpress.com/archives/cc_rushhour.htm)
My personal favorite is Looping - it's surprisingly well done on the 2600, and even contains the awesome music (in the pipe maze) that makes the original game such a delight to play. Overall, the 2600 version is tougher than the coin-op and ColecoVision versions - primarily due to the lack of a scrolling screen - but it's still quite playable. :)

That's cool. What about some of the other games like Klax and Painter? Do Looping and Rush Hour come with carts like their third party name sakes or are they combat carts?
Cheers,
Ben

Looping and Rush Hour both come in brand spankin' new cart shells, but they have "regular" cart cases, instead of the Coleco or CommaVid style.
I didn't get to play Klax, but I played Adventure II on the 5200 at Lee Krueger's booth and it's simply FANTASTIC.
The new Vectrex release, Robot Wars, sold out immediately. Anyone get a chance to play that one?

Any comment on the instruction manuals for those games :)
