Xbox One/Zelda Launch Night

Me and my brother were at a Gamestop last night at midnight to pick up his Zelda 3DS XL bundle. First thing is that it was very well organized by Gamestop, a company that I usually ridicule and hate. We all got to wait indoors untill almost midnight, then went out side to form lines. Zelda guys got our own line, there was about 10 of us and got out very quick. I was surprised by how many Xbox people were there, must of been over 100 in line. It's a collage town so it might skew a bit more that way then PS and I'm sure not every one was getting a console.

Our Zelda line was a bit less dorky then I would of thought although the first thing a guy said when we formed it was "you guys see the Metacritic score for Zelda, 9.1." It got real awkward and quiet after that and we stared at the ground.

People driving by on the Main road yelled "xbox sucks" and "your waisting your money."

There was some guy with a very unfortunate shaped head doing a youtube video of the launch. He came to our line and asked if we didn't have preorders and we said we were getting Zelda. He said "Oh, Wii U...cool."

I got a Xbox promotional lanyard and Ryse Pins.

First guy in line, guess what game he got with his system... NBA 2k14 or whatever lol.

On the way home we stopped at McDonalds because after midnight they serve breakfast now. The guy taking our order was short with me and I flipped out and yelled a bunch of obscenities at him and drove up to the window where he was giving someone there food and called him a fucking prick. I guess I was pretty tired.

Seems to be the thing to do, PS4 had more Call of Duty/Battlefield sold than any exclusives by a wide margin. I assume XB1 will be more of the same. I dont understand why in the world you would get a "next gen"(current gen now) system unless it was for something the system has unique to offer......other than marginally better graphics. After my experiences having 1st gen XBOX RROD and 2 1st gen PS3s LYOD I cant think of a single reason to make the move so early.

I went early in the day and paid off my XBOX-ONE at Gamestop. I was told I would have to come back the next day to get Super Mario 3D World and Zelda-A Link Between World; she was wrong.

I was about at the end of the line for the Xbox-One - had to work so I could not get a number reserved, but all went well. There was a dude in line talking about all the after midnight foo options - conveniently for him there was a man from the local pizza shop sending everyone there for Xbox-One pizza discounts.

I am a little let down by the fact that Zelda and Mario were more exciting to me than the ho hum launch line-up, particularly after reading the Ryse reviews.

There is always someone to yell at McDonalds. I avoid doing it thought so that none of the employees do anything to my food.

It would be cool if Nintendo would put out a 3DS adapter (similar to the Gameboy Adapter for the Gamecube) to allow Zelda to be played on the big screen with the Wii-U controller as the second screen.

Lots of misinformation at the game stores. Sad to say I've given the bad info before thinking I knew what I was talking about.

Did anybody stand in line for Zelda and the Xbox One? What did they do, just wait in the Xbox One line and say they wanted Zelda also? I'd be surprised if nobody did preorder both.

Just came back from my local FutureShop, and they still had xbox one at 5 pm! PS4 were sold out at 8:30 am last week, took only 30 minutes. Demand seems to be bigger for ps4, anyway just got mario 3d so im going go play see ya!
