I must admit, I am new to the Trine series. I recently purchased and downloaded Trine 2 The Complete Story for PS4.

Going by the short time I've spent playing this game, as well as videos I have seen of the other versions of Trine 2 and the first Trine, I feel that these games must have been at least partly inspired by the classic Magician Lord of 1990 by Alpha Denshi for Neo Geo MVS arcades and AES home console.

The image of the magician with his hat comes to mind, as does the ability to change to different characters. The beautiful multi-plane scrolling forgrounds & backgrounds are also a key signature of both Magician Lord and the Trine games.

I played co op in the first stage of Trine 2. I thought it played like a crappy version of The Lost Vikings. Pretty game, I just had zero fun playing it.

I can see some resemblances in those shots that you used, but other than that I would say no.

I will say that if you have a 3D TV and a PS4, the Trine 2 demo looks real purdy in 3 dizzle.

Free Steam code of Complete if someone wants it.

Regardless, I feel like I've got something that kind of, sort of, makes up for never getting Magician Lord 2
which was rumored in the mid-90s to be in the making for Neo Geo CD, along with Crystalis 2.

I'll take it if it's not already claimed.
