I read that this morning and thought it was pretty cool. I didn't realize that CGE had made it onto Newsweek's radar!

I think his comment on game balance is interesting. It seems like that sort of skill-based balance lives on in fighting games, but I'm hard pressed to think of other modern examples.

As far as the violence against humans goes, well, when did Mr. Bushnell sell out of Atari? I don't think his rule lasted after that...

Bushnell sold Atari to Warner Communications in 1976. He left the company in 1978.
