Saturday, I found one of those little "games in a controller" hand-helds- the sort you hook up to a television, and which looks like a Playstation controller, with the games built in.

The games were basically clones of Galaga, Joust, Pole Position 2, overhead racers similar to those found in the 1970s (but souped-up), Frogger, and a great Arkanoid clone called "Block Shock."

Unfortunately, you must purchase an RF Modulator to play it on a normal television. You can run it through an NES, but the picture and sound are lacking.

A problem with the Arkanoid-clone; you cannot play this game without a paddle; the response is too slow.

Does anyone here know how to build a simple RF Modulator that doesn't need to be plugged in, or needs only 6 volts? And is it possible to solder or attach a dial or CV Roller Controller to the hand-held, to properly play the Arkanoid game? Here I yield to those with greater technical knowledge! Being directed to the appropriate websites will be great, too!

Thanks in advance.

And while we're at it, is there a website detailing EXACTLY how the expansion port on a ColecoVision works? I have an interesting idea, here, for maybe putting these games on the console via that port...
