Saw Atari 7800 system today for $25 at the flea market (first and probably last time I'll go there this year). No one was at their table! Oh well. I probably would have picked it up.

Also, 7800 games work on the 2600? As I think about it, I've played 7800 games on my 2600 before. They are a 'tight' fit, but they do work... Were some of these games compatible with both?

Backwards you are my reversed friend.. hmmmm?

7800 plays 2600 games. If the 2600 played 7800 games why would you buy a 7800 hmmmm?

:D

I'm pretty sure I'm not lying. Donkey Kong 1988 plays on my 2600.

You're not lying, but you are a bit confused. :)

7800 Donkey Kong does not work on the 2600. No 7800 carts work on the 2600. No 7800 carts even fit into a 2600. Though the carts are the same size, the 7800 chips are too wide for the 2600 slot.

2600 Donkey Kong with the red label will work on a 2600, because it's a 2600 cart. ;)

There was a 32in1 cartridge for the Atari 7800 console. But it was the same as the 32in1 for the Atari 2600. So the Atari 7800 32in1 will maybe work too on the Atari 2600.

I not own the 7800 version from 32in1. But I think its the same, that it only has an Atari 7800 lable. But real is this an Atari 2600 game, so it will work I think. ;)
