Merry Christmas guys! We just put up a new article over at SegaMasterSystem.com that is all about Sega memories around Christmastime.

Christmas memories with Sega (http://segamastersystem.com/2013/12/04/christmas-memories-with-the-sega-master-system/)

Hope you enjoy the read. You'll notice at the end that we're trying to create a video filled with Sega gamers video recollections of their own Sega Christmas memories. Please participate if you feel you have something to contribute! We really want to make this a special collaborative vid.

Thanks again and Happy Holidays!

The only two Sega's I got on Christmas instead of my birthday in the summer were the Game Gear (came with Sonic 1, 2 and Triple Trouble) and the Dreamcast (came with Crazy Taxi, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, NBA 2K, Spec Ops II: Omega Squad, NHL 2K and a few burned games). With the Dreamcast my uncle had bought 2 systems from a friend giving half of them to me and half of them to his son. His son didn't really care about owning the Genesis emulator disc so I got that and he would watch sometimes as I tried the games out anyway with the bad 8-bit type sound the poor emulator could do. He also let me borrow his burned copy of Sonic Adventure so I could go have my stepdad's dad copy it for me. I had been jealous that he had gotten Sonic Adventure which I wanted and I didn't. Especially since it was burned I saw no reason I shouldn't have gotten it too. Originally he had let me borrow the burned disc just to play it in my room since we all lived together.

I am pretty sure I got a cartridge only copy of Sonic & Knuckles for Christmas one of these years. Probably 5th grade but I can't remember games as well as systems.

The Game Gear I got on the Christmas I was in 7th grade.

The Dreamcast I got on the Christmas I was in 8th grade and is also the same time I got my first brand new TV. Before then I had been using the different TV's that belonged to family members. I still kind of wish they hadn't gotten rid of the woodgrain RCA console. It still worked and never had any issues. I bet it still works for whoever might have bought it at the yard sale. Hopefully they didn't throw the thing away when going HD. I haven't even been able to find an exact picture of the design online. At least I have a few Sonic Spinball photos from that TV.

All of these Sega Christmas stories are great! Would you like to be in our video by uploading a video of yourself talking to your webcam, recounting these stories? Great stuff!
