I picked up a game copier at CGE. I obviously am not going to pay $50 a cart to copy on them. Its more of a collecters piece. But what I am wondering is if I put a blank chip on one side, will it still copy the game? Thanks in advance :?

What kind of copier did you get?

And if you can open up the copy cart and expose the chip to UV light, you should be able to clear out an old game.

As well, I understand that some copy carts can be reused without undergoing this process? Anyone?

Also, anyone know if any copy carts are cross compatible?

Actually, that might depend on which copier it is... The above is true if the cart uses EPROMs (and assuming the EPROM has a window).

Right, I think the VidCo one can be rewritten, but not the Yoko one.

IIRC the Yoko is write-once so I doubt they'd be compatible with VidCo or Unimex ones. Are there others? The Unimex uses EPROMs, and I think the VidCo does too but am not sure. Does anybody know for sure which system used what technology?
