The shop owner threw this labeless 2600 Parker Brothers cart in with my other purchase today. He thinks it might be Frogger. Anyone want to wager a guess?

There are tons of possibilities here. You would have to try it to see. Frogger is probably the most common one that everybody knows but it could also be anything from Popeye, Super Cobra, Amidar, Q Bert, Gi Joe, Star Wars (either of the 4 games), Tutankham, Reactor, Spider-Man among plenty of others.

I say Frogger. I come across Parker Brothers carts every once in a while, and Frogger labels are always in the worst shape. I think they learned to use better glue by the end of their Atari run.
Secondary guess would be Popeye. I come across those with labels more often than not, but the paper's so brittle it's usually half disintegrated.

My guess is it is a Q*bert cartridge. That is the game that I tend to end up most often with when this style of cartridge doesn't have a label.

I had a Parker Bros cart with a missing label and it turned out to be Super Cobra which was a pleasant surprise so I will go for Cobra. I have an idea it might be something more common though like Empire Strikes Back.

Yup. Frogger is the winner.
Thanks to all who played! ;)

Wait this was a game and you already knew what the answer was?
Ok, next game, guess how many fingers I'm holding behind my back (and which ones they happen to be).

Wait this was a game...
Yes it was- a silly game guessing the identity of an unknown game. What would the point be of asking for guesses when I could just pop the cart in my 7800 and know for certain, Rick? I was just trying to milk the mystery of the unknown cartridge [which delighted me more than a little bit, by the way] for all it was worth in part by bringing in speculations from other retrogamers.
...and you already knew what the answer was?.
No. I did not know what game it was up until 10 minutes before posting the answer. That would have made the game less fun for me now wouldn't it? And for the record I wish it wasn't Frogger as I already have a well loved cart from my childhood.
