I know that IGN gets a bit of hate on here but there's one of those "choose the best of two" poll going on at IGN http://www.ign.com/face-off/console-war/. It has an impressive amount of consoles represented (63 I read), and has some systems that would have the IGN crowd scratching there heads but be a little more geared towards retro gamers.
I can't really think of anything they left out, although they shouldn't have both the Intellivision and Intellivision II on there. Just don't look at what % of people agree with your last pick and you wont get too angry.

I tought the same thing about intv 1 and 2, same console, different console shell design. By that logic they should put the ps3 fat, ps3 slim and ps3 super slim?!? Anyway, dreamcast is my favorite of all time!

Sega CD... ...pile... of shit! ROFL
I would never call the Sega CD a "pile of shit". It was a decent system (or add on) with a few good and some great games, but was a disappointment compared to the Genesis library.

I just couldn't get into it, but I DID enjoy a few games.........unfortunately, it's about the same amount of games as on the 32X. Not enough to change my opinion.

Sega cd had a ton of bad games, but it also had a couple of gems worth playing: android assault, final fight cd, silpheed, novastorm, snatchers, lunar 1 and 2, vay, popful mail, shining force cd, dark wizard, eye of the beholder, heart of the alien, etc. But 32x was a pile of shit, the only game I like is space harrier.

32X is great! Kolibri, Virtua racing, Afterburner, and space harrier.

Thats a few more than a couple Id say. Sega cd is really cool and worth checking out. The good games on the system make it worth owning.

Final Fight CD and Popful Mail alone make the Sega CD worth having IMO.

The problem with the 32X and Sega CD is that almost all of the really good games are either rare, really expensive, or a combination of the two. Most of the games people play aren't going to be the fun ones, and that's the impression that they'll get of the systems.
I like both of these add ons, though I only own a few good games for them at the moment. I barely have any for the 32X at all. The cheapest good game for the Sega CD that I can think of is Sonic CD.
