"When you grab the Berserk power-up, you teleport through this tunnel, like a hellish sort of tunnel, and you pop out in another part of the level. And when you pop out of there, you're just a skeleton and all of a sudden your body rebuilds around you. Also, when you die you dissemble down to a skeleton, and the skeleton rag-dolls onto the ground. It looks really awesome."

Actually, that sounds cool, but the screens don't impress me. No enemies. I'm not really into multi-player kill-your-friend games. I'd rather co-operate and go after enemies as a team. I wanna see Imps, Demons, Cacodemons, Arch-Viles, Cyberdemons, Arachnotrons and everything like the original DOOM games. Without the stuff that made DOOM DOOM, it's just another shooter.
Yeah, I realize it was a review of the MP version, but I'm just letting you know. I like the killing of enemies over the killing of friends.

You obviously didn't go to E3 last year or Quakecon 2k2 (or tried the leaked demo that was the big news back in December).. At both events they had a Demo of the actual game... It is some scary shyt and very very very high in technological gaming newness.
The multiplayer is only cool because it is something new to play and shows that DOOM won't be another jump-fest like Quake 3 or UT2k3.

And if DOOM 3 isn't like DOOM 1 and 2, I'm not buying it.
I don't want anything different. I want the same formula that made DOOM great. Nothing dreastic. Find the key, shoot the demon, save the princess.. wait.. wrong game. You know what I mean.
I mean, I could make a whole new DOOM game with an editor and a copy of DOOM 2 and call it DOOM 3. Actually, I think it should be DOOM 5 since Final DOOM had two totally new 32 level episodes based on the DOOM 2 engine. Where do THEY fall into the timeline? Shouldn't this really be DOOM 5? Final DOOM TNT and Plutonia should have been DOOM 3 and DOOM 4.

And for some reason, I just can't get excited for this game...I love FPS games, but this one just doesn't do anything special for me.

Maybe the person who owns the hot poker is named GET? In that case, it would need an apostrophe. Could have just been a statement - GET'S Hot Poker. Here lies Get's hot poker. Go get Get's Hot Poker.

I can. I don't see anything so far that makes it any better than Unreal 2 except graphical enhancements. I'm so damn tired of just another FPS coming out and people eating it up, it's all the same.

Honestly, somehow I didn't think there was supposed to be an apostrophe, but I had to cover all my bases. Apostrophe's are still a slight fuzzy point with me.

all I can say is once the game is released it's going to have an impact on the FPS world the likes of which haven't been seen sense Half-Life. The graphics are one thing, but the event scripting and story add up to one really freaking scary game. Even if you don't play this game it will have an effect on all the games that come out for the next 2-3 years.
