Ninjas are no stranger to the world of video games. However, authentic Ninja ninjas in the world of video games are quite rare. In so many video games with ninjas the ninjas don't act like "actual" ninjas (or, at least, the popular pop culture understanding of ninjas) by practicing stealth rather than head on attacks. Tenchu is, as far as I know, the only series of ninja games that encourages stealth, evasion, and other ninja trademark skills sets. Are there others? The other 99% of ninjas games that I am aware of could just as well have a samurai in the place of the ninja if it weren't for shurikens, magic, and crazy jumping skills [I'm looking at you, Sega's Shinobi!]

80's fad style action hero ninjas aren't any less accurate than most any other occupation a video game (or movie or tv) might show. Just take the military, most of what they do is so incredibly boring and mundane that if you tried to make a game out of it you'd get laughed out of the market.

^Yeah, just add blue and red lasers and snake themed terrorists to the mix.
