I'm working on creating brief videos for iconic boss battles in classic games. Thought I'd put the first two episodes up here to gauge the reactions of my retro gaming brethren and see if anyone had any suggestions for future episodes. I capture from original hardware and do all my post in AE.
Thanks!

Seems pretty nice overall but a bit on the short side. Maybe add a minute or two and they'd feel just right.
Ideas would be Dark Fact from Y's especially the Master System version or the last boss of Brandish for the SNES.

You would hate my recent one-turn kills for the final bosses of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II for NES. I doubt the FFIII NES boss will go down as easily. That thing has quite a scary reputation.

Nice videos!
The two boss fights that really stick out in my mind that I had so much trouble with back in the day were the final boss of Karnov (NES) and De Rol Le from Phantasy Star Online (Dreamcast). De Rol Le on the GameCube version of the title was 'softened up' since it was so damn hard to kill it. And when you're in a mission that takes you back to that boss, the GC version makes that dopey scientist that you have to protect on the Dreamcast version fall on the ground and fake like he's dead so you don't have to keep dodging and moving to keep him alive.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! This is actually the first time I've been accused of making a web video too short XD. I take that as a compliment for the same reason I knocked Sonic Generations. I just wanted some more game to play.
Part 2 of Sigma is definitely going to be longer (since there's a lot more boss to fight), but I like to keep things brief for the most part. Throw the info that's important in there and try not to fluff it up too much so that people can see it, get it, and get on with their lives. I'll try to keep the length to around 3 - 3:30 minutes, not going as short as the Bomberman '93 vid.
Thanks again everyone. I'll keep pumpin' em out as long as people keep watchin' em!

Never played Karnov, but yeah, I can attest to De Rol Le!... That might have to be a future episode :D.

Thanks! I was trying to take on a unique angle since there are literally millions of "let's plays" and "Top-Ten" lists. Strategies are pretty abundant too (add to that the fact that I kinda suck at games anway), so I thought an info series on bosses might be in order. For future episodes, I'd like to do some more research into the development of a specific boss. Maybe a concept sketch, or some failed initial ideas would be interesting. Really depends on how well it all plays.
Thanks for watching!

Nick, that second video is some high-quality shit. The production values are great and it's very professional. Good stuff. I'm looking forward to future episodes.

It's some thing, how dark fact in the TG16 version is easy but in the remake Ys 1&2 complete he's really hard !

Cool videos you have there. I've added your youtube channel to http://game-clips.net so that your videos show up once you have anything new.

Latest episode of the show!
Following ShinobiMan's example and trying to keep all episodes in this thread to keep a cleaner forum :).
