I'm looking for recommendations for a good NES, SNES, Genesis to Wii/Gamecube controller adapter so I can play Virtual Console games with the original controllers. I know there are a few options out there so I wanted to know what to avoid or what to grab. Thanks!!

Just to be clear, you want to connect these to the Gamecube ports on a backwards compatible Wii, and not to the port on a Wii remote (which would let you use them on any Wii or WiiU)? I think there are both kinds of adapters, so that might make a difference.

Based on my experience, I don't recommend the Retro 2 in 1 Adapter for Wii/Gamecube. It plugs into a Gamecube controller port and allows the use of an NES and SNES controller.
I bought it to use the SNES controller with the Game Boy Player and it had quite noticable input lag.

Correct. I want to plug them into the Gamecube controller ports. Sorry for not being clear.
