How freaking weird is it that a movie where Sega is presented as the scrappy underdog to root for is being made by SONY?

What's even weirder is that Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg are the team behind it! That said, they wrote the foreword to Blake Harris' book, comes out May 13.

I'm curious to see how it ends up. You can get all the unbiased and awesome interviews, stories and pure fact in the world, but when it comes down to a book, a script writer and a director/producer you can very easily lose objectivity. This could play from anywhere from showing both sides fairly and how they battled, to it being an old Sega fanboy wanting to slant it towards the scrappy Sega humiliating and kicking an arrogant and evil Nintendo in the nuts. It could end up being fantastic or a divisive piece of work that pisses off anyone who grew up with Nintendo as their system of choice not wanting to put up with revisionist history.

Oh great, I've noticed over the last 3-4 years prices have been going up and with a movie there REALLY going to go up.

I know youre kidding but given the description I read it appeared of no chance of being a Nintendo love fest and either neutral or sega fanboy fodder thats better late than never and I hope its just objective fun.

I think it very well could cause an up surge in more of this painful hipster and sheep follower screw job of old game prices with Nintendo and worst yet, it could finally cause the all along dimsal old Sega prices to shoot up which would just plain suck. Sega as it is now is the nice place to retreat from Nintendo abuse to find fun games at the normal and should be standard old cheap prices. Watch, Sonic 2 will shoot from loose $2 to $20.

Yeah, I like finding Genesis games on the cheap. You can usually find a good title (complete) for under $7. As a matter of fact, I may stop at a pawn shop while I'm in Amarillo; they usually have a Genny title or 2 laying around.
