Super Gameboy stopped booting various games?

My Super Gameboy has run into a problem recently; regardless of their functionality, the system refuses to start a handful of my Gameboy carts. That is, it reads the "nintendo" logo fine, and begins to start them, but then just greets me with a black, white, or green screen. All of these have worked on the system literally days before, and suddenly do not. I've cleaned the contacts of both the system and games, and all of them boot instantly on my GBC and GBA, but it doesn't seem to change the outcome for the SGB. Additionally, some black cartridges in the same situation refuse to boot and show a black screen after loading up. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

Yes I did. (I apologize for not stating that more clearly) - They boot up perfectly on my GBA and both of my GBCs. I left my brick at home, so no word on that, but it'd probably be the same.

Grasping at straws here but it could just need a complete solder reflow. I've been seeing more and more devices with similar symptoms but I've never been able to try (completely) reflowing the solder to see what might happen.

Not much to go wrong on a Super Gameboy really.

You say you cleaned the connectors of the system and the games, but what about the connector in the Super Gameboy? Whenever I get these I clean that connector too, luckily I have some Gameboy cleaning kits to do this.

Believe it or not, the exact same lot that came with the super GB came with an official nintendo black GB cleaning kit with a dry cloth still inside...I tried to put some rubbing alcohol on the end of it, but I don't think it did anything ;^^ I did clean that side too, and I have no idea why it's still doing this, as the games themself connect and load right up, but then the ROMs within don't boot.

If it's just a cleaning thing, what do I do with the ninty cleaning kit? Do I have to buy some obscure fluid or can I make do with what I've got?

You're not supposed to use fluid on it, it's supposed to be dry. You only use fluid to clean the actual games, there's some other swab included to clean the games(or just use q-tips like everyone does).

I have a couple of those official ones, including one still sealed. I mostly use a 3rd party kit though, one from Gemini. Any of them seem to do the job. Your problems may not be caused by dirt, but you might as well check before starting to solder anything or replace parts.
