I have the stock Neo Geo CD controller, but it has an issue every so often it stops registering pressing it down, I can get it to work again by blowing air into the stick but its a bit annoying. I read that this is because of the plastic dust generated by the stick rubbing against what is holding it, getting into the switches that it uses to register direction and cause it to not work. So I ask is there any controller for the system that doesn't have that issue?

You could get yourself one of the two large joystick types for the Neo-Geo, or if you want a pad, get a convertor: http://www.tototek.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=23&products_id=50

A stock Neo Geo CD controller that you store in a plastic tub and don't let get dusty when not in use? That would be the one I'd pick if I had one with issues.

It's not dust like the dust that accumulates on stuff, its dust caused by the grinding of the plastic ball on the joystick on the thing that holds it. It is the same stuff you would find from using an N64 joystick its like a white powdery type thing, but in the case of the Neo Geo CD control pad it gets in the things that registers direction presses and makes them not work.
