After reading through the Famicom games thread I splurged and bought a bunch of Famicom games (48 to be exact). What's funny is I hadn't purchased a console yet.

So while looking around for one I came across a couple things. I liked the look of the original but didn't like that it only had RF output. I didn't want the later model as it was the same layout as my top loader NES (Modified for composite output). After doing some research I found out abut the Sharp Twin Famicom which was officially licensed via Nintendo and could play both the cartridge games as well as the disk games. (Think JVC X'Eye for the Sega Gensis)

Well today I found one at a price I was willing to pay and just bought it. This is a picture of the actual console I just bought, I have to say I think it's pretty sharp (pun intended) looking.

Looks sweet. I was going to buy one a few years back but didn't. Looking prices now, that was a huge mistake.

Nice, I just recently got a boxed complete AN-500R too. Prior to that I've had my boxed AN-505-BK for a while... but I've been meaning to get a red one. Just never got around to it. One of these days I'd like to get a boxed complete Titler too.

Some of the new fami related stuff I got in the mail recently (red twin included). These actually came altogether in a huge box along with a bunch of other famicom stuff.

I use my twin famicom more than my regular famicom, it just seems to look better than the regular famicom.

did you get your in yet?
hopefully you don't need to replace the belt on the disk system part but thankfully its just a famicom and a disk system housed in one case...

Still waiting to find a working one of these. Actually found one at a flea market once for $25 and flipped out but then I was told it was a "fixer upper" and "wasn't operational".

It did come in and it works perfectly. I really don't like the look of the Famicom and especially when the disk drive is attached.

Yes, this looks a lot nicer, nice score.
