Master System Displays in Black and White

So I recently hooked up a bunch of systems in my bedroom. I had wanted the master system to be included but - like the topic says - it's only displaying a grayscale image. I tried AV cables directly to the tv, and even an RF adapter. So it's not the input nor is it the cable. Is this a known problem for the system? Can it be fixed?

Run the AV threw a VCR Daria and see it that works. It was the fix back in 200X for lost gain.

There's a problem with your colorburst clock signal. It could be inside the encoder itself or somewhere in the clock division circuit, between the main oscillator and the encoder. It might also be one of the control lines for NTSC/PAL.

Its a fairly easy fix if you have access to a frequency counter or scope.
I would start by checking the Xtal input pin on the encoder for the 3.579Mhz clock signal.
