I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with several 3rd party accessories?

I wanted to get a NES dog bone controller. Unfortunately the originals are pretty pricey and them being older I don't know if they will last long. As opposed to a 3rd party which is brand new and much cheaper. I also see that many of said item has sold many units.

Another one would be the N64 expansion pack. I got Resident Evil 2 and when I played it the graphics were just terrible. Later I found out it was because I didn't have an expansion pak is the reason why it looked so bad.

I don't want to get one of these or something else for it to be a piece of junk.

The replicas I have tried for NES and SNES alike worked but felt kind of weird. The plastics don't feel like the originals and the buttons often press in differently. If you can find a local retro game store you might get to sample the feel of one yourself. I wouldn't just order one straight off the internet not knowing if it's good.

To me the best third party accessories tend to be the ones that are not designed to be like the originals. The ones with extra functions like turbo and such end up better.

Personally it's easy just to flat out say NO unless it's something so licensed by the hardware(console) maker that it carries their emblem like the super advantage joystick for the SNES. I've rarely used a third party accessory that got the job done well, and when it came down to stuff using batteries or other junk like with save cards they're a disaster.
