So, I bought several original Xbox games from a pawn shop for maybe a dollar each or something, and one of them was Star Wars Battlefront II, except it's missing the game, it's just box/manual. I think they used the case to put a diff disk in for me or something.

Anyway, I wanted to pick the game up now, figured I could swipe a loose disc on Amazon for a penny plus the $4 shipping to complete my game, and as it turns out its a $43 game loose. Why is this?? The PS2 version is maybe $9. I feel slightly annoyed they didn't have the actual game at the pawn shop, tho, cuz I woulda gotten it for around $1-$2.

Why is this game price spiked up far beyond wat 90% of the Xbox library goes for? Is this special? Or is this just another case of, there's no rhyme or reason?

Maybe it's hyped up because of the upcoming sequel on xbone/ps4? The ps2 version isn't as slick but at least you can still play it online because it allows people to run their own servers.

I see it on ebay for as low as $15. It's not rare or anything.

The PC version is the best version, better graphics and options than any console version. The PSP version runs on Vita with nice analog stick controls if you load it from a ps3.

Although I didn't spend a whole lot of time with it, there's a fan made version of part 2 that adds new characters and levels that is pretty damn cool. 'Course you'd have to softmod your console to play it.

Yea theyre real fun games, both of them. I had the PS2 version 10 years ago, but had sold it for more modern games, like most people. It's definately not rare, that's for sure. There's not very many rare games on the Xbox, anyway, that I'm aware of. It has it's few expensive games, but why a game like this one, which is common as hell, is selling for $45 just makes no sense to me.
