So I was at GameStop today just generally browsing around. At some point I recalled I was looking for a Wii Zapper as I had recently picked up a few 'light gun' based games so I started rummaging through their used accessories. I ended up find this thing for $8. Looks and works great. But here's the thing, I can't find any reference to this gun shell online. Or at least by running 'wii' 'gun' and 'accessory' through Google Image Search.

The gun looks like this...

I'm pretty sure this is a first party gun, as its got the official WII logo etched into its plastic, but there's no trademark text anywhere. Also the color is the exact same as some first party Wii Motion Plus controllers I saw at the store.

Its a nice shell, feels good with a Wiimote mounted. So what is this thing? Where did it come from? Is it a pack-in? A new Zapper design? Why isn't there any referance to it on Google, Amazon, or Wikipedia?

There were several 3rd Party games that came in bundles of a Game and 2 of those light guns - I think one was blue and the other pink (yay reference to Lethal Enforcers). The catch is that all of them had various light shell designs, and every Korean manufacturer on the planet did some time of gun / wheel / sports shell bundle.

Research bundles and you'll probably find it. I want to say that one you have came with a party themed game.
