Can anyone recommend some of the best snake games ever made? You know, guide your snake around eating dots and whatnot.

Any console / any computer. Thanks!

There was actually a really cool free one made by Nokia for the N-Gage.

You can play on a standard 4-way grid, or a 6-way hex grid. I've never had a chance to play multiplayer, but I imagine it's a great light cycles type of affair. Definitely worth trying out if you've got an N-Gage like all the cool kids.

A lot of people don't realize it, but if you have a shitty connection you can play a 'Nibbler' style game on your computer while Youtube videos are buffering.

Just press an arrow key while the video is loading and a flashing dot will appear somewhere in the video window. You'll control a snake made of dots with your arrow keys, and the snake's tail gets longer the more dots that you eat.

Metal Gear Solid 3. Snake crawls around nibbling rats and Ramen. There's also Snake Rattle 'n' Roll for the NES. I think that qualifies.

Wild Snake is a Tetris style game with snakes.

Which can be found in its arcade form via Microsoft's Game Room service on the Xbox 360.

THIS. Really a very good game, combine the snake with a maze and eat the tails of the larger snakes. Attack them head on when you are larger. But oooh that damn frog!

The Vic20 version I think is the best due to the "limited larger font" screen. This allowed games such as Serpentine, Omega Race and Type Attack to appear larger.

How about Wild Snake, an interesting looking puzzle game for the SNES.

Although, I can't personally vouch for it as I have yet to play it. Can anyone comment on this game? I do believe it does hold the distinct honor of being the only snake puzzle game in history though, for whatever that's worth, lol.
