I have a Game Doctor.
As I said in another thread, I've never USED it on a game CD, however. I never found one that was that bad enough....except for a crappy PSX CD that did'nt even work after, it was a lost cause. :)
I've used it with good results on some music CD's, though.
I would'nt have a problem using a repair device on a game CD that I KNEW I was keeping until hell froze over. Collectors, though, are probaly going to look at 'repaired' CD's as being worth much less then a normal CD. So don't use it unless it's a last resort and you INTEND to keep it.

I have used my Game Doctor on a couple of game discs...it has restored them both to playing condition, but as SoulBlazer said...with the lovely daisy pattern ther Doctor puts on the bottom of the disc...only use it if you know you are never going to try and resell the disc.
It is a great system for music CD's though :) I have that thing to thank for my entire Fatboy Slim collection. I was given a bunch of cds by a Half Price books, because they were in such poor condidtion, and the guy who was trying to sell them wouldn't take them back...
So I took them, Disc Doctored them, and they all still work flawlessly to this day (even sold a few of them back to that same HPB a few months later :) )

And why couldn't you resell the game if you used a Disk Doctor? If the games works isn't that what matters?
This product works.
Buy one.
If it doesnt, you're doing it wrong.

Disk Doctors leave a very distinct pattern on the bottom of discs. Gamestops tend to not take these in, at least the two I worked at refuse them.

It works to a certain degree, but some discs may be beyond help.
The GD grinds away a thin layer of the disc's data side, leaving a spiral-shaped pattern on the disc. If appearance is not an issue for yourself, or if you intend on keeping said disc, then go for it. Get the motorized one, you'll thank me later. :D Just be careful with it, they're cheaply made.
If appearance matters to you, or if you intend on selling the game, I'd recommend looking into places that do professional jobs, like some second-hand CD stores do. I had a pretty scratched copy of Dragon Ball Final Bout for PSX, took it to a place like that, and turned a good profit on it.
