"Sunset Riders" for Japanese Super Famicom?

Is it true that Sunset Riders never made it to either the Japanese-market Nintendo Super Famicom (Super NES) or Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) consoles? This is Wikipedia I'm referring to, but that site can't always be trusted.

It is true indeed that Japan never got Sunset Riders as a Sega port; but a select few believe a Super Famicom version did exist, and uncensored yet.

Sunset Riders was never released on the Super Famicom.
People have made release lists and one person/group (at least) have even made videos compiling gameplay footage from every game in the library. No Sunset Riders.
It's like 20 years later, if it was out on such a popular console we'd have heard of it by now.

If anyone played it on a Super Famicom, they probably played a bootleg.
