ps2 online play

I just recently re bought a ps2 and a bunch of games. i used to play ps2 online fairly often..games like ratchet deadlocked...sports games...etc....

just curious if there are still any ps2 games playable online?

That forum seems to be a good place to investigate. It IS possible to play online, although it's not as simple as originally designed. You kind of have to know a match/game is happening beforehand, and then go about joining it.

Here's a Wikipedia list. The only games I've played in the last year or so was the Champions of Norrath games and both of those work. Not sure about the other games on the active list.

I know that Star Wars: Battlefront II is still playable online, and if you look around, you can find a dedicated server host app for Windows computers. I enjoyed that on my old ps3 until it died, but I haven't found the urge to hook up my truly ancient ps2 for more.
