So I picked up a few Genesis games at a Goodwill today for $1 each in the boxes, the one I did not have was Streets of Rage 2, and the pins are loose inside the cart. I have a few NES games with this issue, and was wondering if ppl knew wat kinda screwdriver may open these up?

The game plays about 1/3 of the time when I try it over and over, the first time there was no sound, the second it played for awhile and then froze. So I'd like to fix it cuz its a great game and I got it for a great deal. The others were games I had and I'm using them for trade-ins somewhere else.

If the board is a bit loose in the case, you would just need to tighten the screws to the case a bit and it should be fine. If you need to clean the board a bit better, you might want to open it up first and clean it rather than just tighten the case. Either way you'll probably need the special security bits to do it.

I'm wondering if this is something I hafta order or I can just take to the game store next time I'm there and have them fix it.

Many (most?) Genesis games require the use of a 4.5mm "Gamebit" to be opened.

Yeah, I got the game for $1, theres no way I could pass it up. A loose cart can be fixed, the box alone is prolly worth more then that.
