Anyone buying Nintendo Amiibos?

Looks like most stores got a 1/2 shipper, half of which is Wii U/3DS games, the other half has the Amiibo. I don't remember the exact count, but I'm wanting to say it was about 25 of them in the shipper. Been prepping that stuff all week.

i'll probably try for one, seeing as i'll be there 8:30pm to 4:30am that day any way. it'll be nice to add to my gold mario

I think Modern mario is going to be available for purchase on wal-mart website Thanksgiving evening as well.

Ike is going to be sold on black friday at GameStop, I will probably go and try to get one of him.

Does anyone else think its funny that many amiibos that were common a year ago are now considered 'rare' because they are all sold out? Toon Link, Donkey Kong, Samus, Mega Man, Kirby, Diddy Kong, all were very easy to get and were considered common for months. Now it seems everybody wants Donkey Kong, Kirby, Samus and Toon Link. Im surprised Nintendo still has not made any more of these, especially DK Kirby and Samus.

Also, does anyone else get the feeling that Nintendo produced way too many Animal Crossing amiibos? They keep going on sale, I think Mable and Tom Nook were available for like 5$ each shipped free with amazon. Ive never seen any of the Smash amiibos discounted that cheap. I also saw the 3 pack discounted. It seems like Nintendo thought the animal crossing amiibos would sell really well because the smash amiibos were so popular, and they made too many.

Yep, here as well. I think they might have underestimated the popularity of the new games.

Would anyone like to donate me Robin and Lucina amiibos? I hate amiibos it's a bunch of disc locked bs imo, but I'd really like to have all four Fire Emblem characters that are playable on Code Name Steam. It's a bit ridiculous if you think about how these amiibos don't do a damn thing in the newest Fire Emblem despite the fact that they also don't do jack shit in everything else. The Nintendo defenders like the retort how these things work in all sorts of games and that they're cosmetic only, but the Fire Emblem ones only work in two games and a new fucking character is anything but cosmetic, especially when they're completely different than the rest. It's $54 on disc dlc. Ridiculous.

That Mega Man amiibo I found (with toon link) back when they came out finally paid off with the unlocks on that 3DS game and it appears to hard save it to the game which is nice, not just to the backup of progress.

As far as DK goes (and Pit) I've never seen them at retail a year ago or now, that's why I get miffed about it because I can find them online but I'm not paying a $10+ premium with price/shipping in there as it's crap. I figure I find them for $13-14 locally or screw it (or someone trades me fair MSRP value, not reseller garbage value which is how I got FOX.) Pikachu and Kirby I don't have, not a huge priority and I still see them at the store around here, just not in huge numbers like the Mario crew like they're special or something.

I was hoping for a BoxBoy 2 localization announcement, but new Kirby (with amiibo that I will buy because HAL) will do quite nicely. That was definitely the "shut up and take my rupees!" part of today's Direct.

I figured we would have seen more Robin and Lucina ones with the release of the FE games. Then again I figured they might have put more out with the release of Codename STEAM. I'm still missing those two as well as regular Pit and Wii Fit Trainer. :-/

I wish that Nintendo had taken the opportunity to roll out Super FX emulation on the Wii U with this Direct. Would've been fitting with the classic mode in Star Fox Zero and the New 3DS getting SuperNes related Virtual Console news.

I like it, but I'd of loved to have seen it taken just a bit further. The lack of animal sounds when the characters spoke made it seem weird to someone that loved the SuperNes original. And if I really want to get nitpicky, the classic crash sequence is something I'd of loved to have seen replicated, but instead it seems to switch to full Star Fox Zero mode when you run out of health.

I got a Famicom Colors ROB single pack the other day

didn't know they were releasing it here in the states and it was one I wanted.
aside from my gold Mario and both colors of my retro Mario I think theres one other I want and that's gold mega man and then I am done until some other odd one comes along.

I am, by no means, getting them all....gold Mario is just for trade bait

I almost am tempted to get Boo just because it glows in the dark.

I sold the 20~ of them I had many months ago as I got fed up trying to find certain ones and I didn't use them but for shelf toys. That said I promised to buy one more when it arrived, 8bit Link, which I found almost two weeks ago at the store so it sits with 8bit (SMB1) Mario and I kept Mega Man too.

I was fed up not finding stuff Nintendo kept scarce up until just the last couple of weeks with this big push of a heap of new ones for various games and anniversaries. Pit, DK, Jigglypuff, and a couple others that just bugged the crap out of me. In the end Nintendo lost a few dollars they'll never notice as I was fed up playing their stupid assed scarcity games.

I totally forgot I got 8 bit Link. Looks really good. They finally released more Pit, Lucina, Metroid etc. here. I recommend the Boo, soo cool. Should of been in MK8

Mario Party 10 with choice of Peach or Bowser has been on sale for $20 recently. Not too shabby to gift a Mario fanatic this time of year.

I've mostly been going for the Zelda Amiibo, but not sure if I'll get the 30th Anniversay outside set outside of maybe 8bit Link since I really have nowhere to put them. Only one I even opened was the Samus one I got during the original print, I also have an Issac and Ness sitting in a box somewhere as well.

Ive been meaning to pick up the 4 Kirby amiibos.. Also STILL WAITING on the final 3 Smash Amiibos (Cloud Corrin and Bayonetta). After that Ill probably stop collecting Amiibos; i have so many they just take up too much space.
