View Full Version : How do you write your feedback?

I must have written hundreds of different feedbacks over the years but have lately developed "writer's block" when it comes to these things, which results in either a simple "Excellent seller, thanks" or in the worst-case scenario, no feedbacks given at all due to extreme apathy.
Do you write a custom feedback for all of your auctions or do you cut-and-paste the same lines over and over? Is there a random positive feedback generator out there to help others like me who have simply run out of things to say to eBay people?

I'm just a cut and paste kind of guy. I try and put as many good things that will help the seller.
I usually use some variation of the two below.
Everything is great. Items came fast. Would definitely buy from again. A+++++
or
The game is great. Good Emails. Fast shipping. Would buy from again. A++++++++++
And for some reason I feel like I have to fill up the whole space as you can see by all the +'s.

I use two comments - nearly identical:
Fast payment from great eBayer! My highest recommendation! AA+++!
AND
Fast shipment from great eBayer! My highest recommendation! AA+++!
But I do *not* cut and paste. I type each one by hand, as I figure that way there'll be *some* personal touch.
Now NEGATIVES - those get a custom-made comment.

I all goes well, I ususally go with the standard:
"Item arrived promptly and exactly as described, great seller!! -thanks"

Custom feedback, but they all come out about the same. I try to answer at least the following questions for the sake of others:
For sellers - did it come in a reasonable timeframe? did it come well-packed? was it as described? was the seller communicative and easy to work with?
For bidders - did payment come in time? if mailed, how long after close was it mailed?
Why not auto-message or one-word replies? Well ... because I actually look at other peoples' feedback and it helps to know something more than "A+++++" or "thanks."

I mostly sell on eBay. I just have a cut an paste comment for my auctions.
Quick payment, great transaction, first class buyer.
If things are really slow but I get paid I might just skip the feedback all together. If I have to leave negative feedback I just describe the problem. I got personal once and called some guy a twit. If I did that now I might get sued.
