I just picked up a Factory Sealed copy of The Legend of Dragoon and noticed that there was an error where the title goes on the spine. The front art insert apparently didn't get folded properly and is poking outside of the case against the plastic wrapping. Would this "error" make this particular copy increase, or decrease in value? If so, what do you think it would be worth?

Are people seriously looking at improperly packaged games now as variants? I have a Crash Bandicoot with a cracked jewel case, I'm going to be rich!

No need for snide remarks. I am just curious to see if within the game collecting community one would consider this a welcomed defect, or an eyesore. I know with people who collect money, finding a misprinted piece of currency is considered a rare gem to cherish. But with some game collectors, they are purists and want only the best possible conditioned item for their collection. Either way, I plan on keeping this item in my collection.

With games and currency, it's the printing errors that can be sought out as collectibles. I'm not sure about assembly errors.

I would say probably a little less, because its not mint.

As a person who has a various assembly mistakes (sealed with missing inserts, upside down inserts, wrong CD, etc), I would have to say this wouldn't even register a care. If you can fix a mistake by some creative pushing and prodding...it's not really a rare collectable. It's just a simple goof.
