Ive got this atari 2600 and it functions just fine, but it seems to display some/most/all of the graphics with a 'jail bar' pattern. See the pictures ive uploaded.
Its a Atari woodgrain 6 switch, and its hooked up to a flat screen HD tv via RF cable.
Its kinda cool because the graphics seem a little more textured. Just curious if its supposed to look like this or if somethings wrong. I dont think that somethings wrong with it, because some of the graphics dont have the jail bar pattern (see the frostbite pictures).

Also, when I went to take pictures of the jail bars, I put on Ms. Pac-Man. Before I went to take a picture, Ms. Pac-Man ran right INTO a wall and stayed there. I couldnt even get her to move out. Kinda strange, see the picture, shes inside the wall.

Oddly enough the attached images aren't loading on my phone but from what it signs like is it could be dirty power from a power brick or a crappy rf switch box.

I recently fixed an atari 2600 jr that had bad video and it turned out to be a bad switch box but I've had the jail bars before on other systems. Go to radio shack and get one of the funky adapters that have an rca female Jack on the back with the screw on end for the cable cable on the other side. Then just use a regular rca cable between it and the system without using arf unit or switch box and see if it persists. If it does then try a different power brick. If that doesn't fix it then we will dig deeper.

As for ms pacman, I had something similar happen testing the jr, probably a bug in the game

Ok, so I hooked it up to my CRT tv (instead of this HDTV) and no more lines. Im guessing that the issue was the TV.
