I had a strange glitch happen in Secret of Mana on SNES.

This happened years ago but I still have the save file on which it happened, but the glitch was that the Girl just disappeared from my save file I only have the boy and sprite the girl is no where to be found and her life bar is gone too. This glitch makes it impossible to beat the game pretty much and the save file is also at the end of the game.

I've tried glitching to get her back but nothing worked, I used the Neko in the Frozen Land glitch to warp to the place where you first get the girl in your party and like I said it didn't work. Anyone have any ideas about this?

Isn't this glitch similar to what happens if you try to glitch the game back to the mantis ant to get the final sword orb? If so, I believe you'll have to restart that save file.

If not, the same probably still applies, but maybe someone knows a way to glitch it back to normal.

I don't know what caused the original glitch of the Girl just disappearing, but the glitch I tried using to get her back was the one you described, I used it to glitch to the point in the game where the Girl first joins your party but she wasn't there.

You didn't play the game the way it's possible to legitimately get the girl to leave?
If you get the girl first, you will eventually have to go to Gaia's Navel to get the sprite (which also allows you to get the axe, which is needed to get through the Haunted Forest). But the girl was refuse to go into Gaia's Navel (she insists you go to the Haunted Forest right away to save her boyfriend, even though you need the axe first), so you have to tell her goodbye, go get the sprite, and then when you get to the Haunted Forest, you will have an extra miniboss battle against two wolves.

You didn't play the game the way it's possible to legitimately get the girl to leave?

I'm too far in the game for it to be that, I'm at the end of the game, where the Mana Fortress is opened up I should definitely have the girl at this point.
