$15 isn't terrible as that's pretty cheap all things considered in what you could pay on a game. Star fox is so easily replayable because it's not very long and has lots of paths to take so you'll really dig it as time goes along.

Anyone played StarFox 2 yet? I bought the repro back in 2012, but have yet still to play it. It blows my mind that it was "finished" for all intents and purposes, but never got released officially.
it's amazing how cheap a loose F-Zero cart is.
Yet, easily one of the 8 best SNES games period.

Steven yup. Taco from NA is a friend and I had him make me one since I knew I could trust his work. The game is phenomenal but it gets such a horribly bad wrap by nitwits. Nintendo when they wrote up the difficulties wasn't very smart. You have Normal, Hard and Expert, but really Normal = Super Easy if that. 1/2 of the game isn't even played when using normal mode between 1/2 the battleships, ships and planets being removed, but also on the higher difficulties there are viruses introduced that will attack your orbital defense cannon and infect it. It will turn and scorched earth your planet, you need to go back to it, attack the platform and remove the infection and it can re-occur. You're not playing Starfox 2 unless you play it on Hard (Normal) or Expert (Hard.)

I just checked, Game Reproductions sells Star Fox 2... for $100.
Nope.

Thats too high, you can in fact do better as Ive seen it lower by a good 20 or more. The problem why it is high is due to the mass amount of running wire on those is well over your usual chop shop job. Youre paying for more time involved and parts. Maybe it was retro quest games that had it, but I know I have seen it lower including on ebay.

Does anecdotes like this make the point missed?, as for me i got lucky to find Super Adventure Island II as a gift for one of my SNES (one that didn't work, BTW the game was priced at $3!!!! :eek 2:), and Gargoyle's Quest II for $6 in 2011 (but with a PCB begging for surgery........)
As for that Batman Returns gameguy, better be fine with getting a decent loose copy, before the same horseshit happens with the 16-bit TMNT games.
The weird thing is I've found the 16-bit TMNT games fairly easily, I think I currently have 3 copies of Hyperstone Heist and I previously had a few copies of Turtles in Time(I'm pretty sure I've sold off my extras of these unless I'm forgetting about some). Rarer or somewhat valuable stuff I tend to come across more often than good common games, Batman Returns is just a Rarity 1 on the guide here yet I've still never owned it for the SNES.
Still haven't found Super Adventure Island II but I did find a complete Super Adventure Island a few months ago for I believe $7.99, found it at the same time as a complete Power Blade NES for the same price(still no Power Blade II). I still haven't got around to testing these yet. Need to set up my consoles to do it, and to test various other loose games I've found. I do have a couple copies of Gargoyle's Quest II, got one in a bundle when I bought a collection from another collector and before that I found one for $0.99 at a Salvation Army along with various other games.
I would suggest trading games is an option to save on funds, come across some valuable N64 or Gamecube games for a cheap price and try trading them for some NES or SNES games instead. Usually I don't find people offering games I want for trade that often, but I don't trade online either so that might limit things a bit. What's harder to find is strategy guides for 16-bit games, these have always been harder to find and finding anything really good for cheap is extremely difficult.

I like that idea, trading -- I do this. Trading game for game(s) or trading out good stuff I consider junk(or is junk but valued) for cash or even more games in return to its value. It's a great way to dodge the garbage. I ended up getting Bubble Bobble2+Bomberman 2 in one package with a few bucks and some PAL SMS games that way and also Bonk for NES too, neither out of pocket really. That's how you fight the annoyance if that is an option in your area though.

You know what else is kind of rewarding in many ways and is cheap... Mario Paint. The reward comes not just from being able to color, but you can draw, create music, or even throw together a few frame movie clip with music on it. And of course unlike the other stuff they made, the mouse actually was well supported on the SNES so there's a lot of good games to use the mouse and mousepad for. Dr Mario even has a little game inside of Fly Swatter which is pretty fun trying to swat flies using the mouse.
Also I finally put a little time using the old Supaboy of all things this morning on Arcana. Yes many of those online maps are based off re tiling the in game map you expose in an easier to view map since you can only see part of it in game before it fades out. It is handy, game doesn't appear to have too nasty of an encounter rate as I saw some whining say but of course I Just messed with the first floor (about 1/2 of it) of the first dungeon just to raise up a few levels. I did find a sleeping bag, silver flask and a couple other little things. It's actually a fairly well made game and doesn't really feel 'old' from time.

Are you saying the fly swatter game was in (Tetris &) Dr. Mario? Because that was in Mario Paint.

Typo -- kid was in my lap bugging me while I wrote that. Flyswatter is only in Mario Paint. It's based upon an earlier DOS game from a few years earlier.
Jurassic Park is usually really cheap, and I think it's pretty decent, although the doom-like levels suck. Plok! is relatively cheap, and it will make your eyes burn on a RGB monitor it's so bursting with color. Skuljagger isn't that expensive, and it's pretty cool.
I'm trying to think of SNES games I'm currently selling that I think are priced less than they really should be worth, and those come to mind...
