Who all here is actively collecting for the xbox 360 and/or ps3? What are your goals for your "modern" collection? Personally, I've kind of gone nutts over the last year or so with my 360 collection. I'm sitting at 181 xbox 360 games...just picked up saints row 4, alien isolation, and evil within today from GS... i also got two worlds, alone in the dark, enchanted arms, dark star one, bionic commando, and sonic generations from jjgames.com for a total of $36

I've had the 360 since 2006 but never really bought a ton of games until the last year when its been easy to find so many games so cheap even in retail stores....

There are just so many games for that system i'm interested in now that they are on the cheap...games like dark void (got it for $3, the darkness 2, etc...

I still love my old school snes, nes, etc.... but have really enjoyed finding xbox 360 games here lately for great prices

I collect for both. At first I was just interested in 360 games as the reviews seemed to slightly favor them. By the time I got around to playing catch up with the PS3, the library had grown so old I was shocked at how many 5 dollar used games I could find for it. Then it was off to the races!

I'm at 535 Xbox360 games and 542 PS3 games right now, with nothing I'm really ashamed to own.
I bought a few of those new at 19.99, but most were bought used at 15 dollars or less. I live for B2G1 sales! LOL

It's weird because whenever I pick up a game for either console now, I know I'm eventually going to get the exact same game for the other console. It's completely redundant, but that's just the nature of collecting I guess.

I don't pay special attention to Collector's Editions unless there's absolutely no difference in price. I can't believe how many Collector Edition games there were for these consoles! They are so common now that they don't feel special at all anymore. Thank God!

What I do try very hard to collect is the versions that have DLC on the disk. I doubt I'll ever have a console connected to the Internet, so those versions are important to me.

So far I haven’t played any of the games yet, mostly because I didn't have any consoles to play them on.
Those early Xbox360 red ring stories convinced me to buy consoles at the end of the life-cycle when they would probably be cheaper and more reliable. I've only recently started buy consoles whenever they go on sale and have a half a dozen for each, both with and without hard drives.

I'll tell you one thing though, I sure do like these blu-ray game discs! No matter how old the game is, those discs look great!

I don't have any sports games - so that may be throwing the numbers off, but I'm wondering if the 360/PS3 libraries will end up being smaller that the previous generation. They certainly must be smaller than the Wii.
That damn Wii seems to have tons of titles for it and they’re still coming! Sheesh!

I'm selling the games from my collection I have no plans to play again or I didn't like. Around 20, but I'll still have around 100 that I enjoy. There's not much on the PS3 that I'm missing in terms of what I'll enjoy so my PS3 collection is near complete.

I've been taking a closer look. I compiled a list of PS3 games I would like; they came from several top 100 PS3 game lists I googled. I then added some RPG's. The list came up to about 100. I statred picking them up as I fing them cheap, and will make a similar 360 list at some point.

I find that PS4 and Xbox One games that interest me are few and far between so picking up these other games gives me an excuse to go to Gamestop each week and drop $10-$20.

I regularly buy games for those systems and want to eventually get all the RPGs and most of the fighting games for them along with other fun looking games. I even become willing to try games that aren't my type when they reach $3 or less.
