So I have been having terrible luck with my consoles. The other day, my NES finally kicked the bucket. Today, I turned on my N64 to find that when booting up, it takes a few flickers to get going (if it even does). What gives? I looked at my pin connector; maybe a little dusty, but nothing out of the oridinary. Plan of action, anyone?

Also, how does one go about cleaning the n64 pin connector?

Licensed (or not) N64 cleaning kit, doubt they're worth much unless maybe the new ones might be due to shenanigans. If that fails, a thin cleaning cloth, the type that's durable meant for glasses/screens, wrap it around a credit/library card. Soak that in 91% isopropyl alcohol and just run it in and out of there a bunch like a cart would until no more black/gray stuff shows up on the cloth.

Good call. You think that is the reason for the flickering??

Take out the N64 power supply and see how that looks, try inserting and removing it a few times from the console. Also do the same for the jumper pak or expansion pak, it could be a poor connection. You can clean the connector on the jumper/expansion pak too. Finally, check the video cable. Maybe there's something wrong with the AV cable if not a dirty connection.
