Goddammit Sony. I wasn't planning on dropping money on a new system this year...

I don't know. I just don't get that old-school nostalgic feel from Sony. Atari and Nintendo, yes, but with Sony...... Although I did get excited the other month when I found a mint condition Walkman at Goodwill.

Same here, the PS1 may have sold a lot but it wasn't a large magical experience. I'll grab the free theme, that'll be worth it.

I would be more hyped if I had a chance to get one. Even then I wouldn't play it because I would feel like I was going to mess it up or a power surge or something like that. If this was just a version like the white one it would be awesome. Also this would have been a good time to announce PS1 games for the PS4. I can't believe that my PS4 is not powerful enough to emulate the PS1 and PS2. The PC community cares more about backwards compatibility than consoles. Rant over.

I'd like to get one of the controllers, but don't really need the system to look like that. I'm not sure that color is very flattering to the design of the PS4. I think I like the white PS4 better, but I'd love one of the controllers.

Don't worry they will be on ebay in a very short time. You can now pay double because someone has faster internet than you! I coudn't even find a link on their site for it when it was live. Limited editions are not for fans they are for resellers.

The sleaze strikes again? No surprise. I feel fortunate I was able to get Retro City Rampage DX for PS4 for a real copy.

I miss the time just a few years ago when a limited edition was meant for the fans, not the predators.

So who bought one? I love that they are just selling preorders. They don't even know if the box is going to be beat up from shipping.

Honestly, they don't even know if they will be getting one. Sony had a ton of problems processing pre-orders and some people's orders have disappeared or they received confirmation from Paypal, but not Sony, etc...Nobody really knows if this they are getting this until the day it arrives on their doorstep.

If you ordered at PSE in Vegas you'll be getting one. The hoopla is ridiculous.

Only very few people were permitted to preorder the 20th Anniversary PS4 at PSX. I believe they only gave out a total of 100 gold wristbands. Everyone else had to fight it out on the Sony Store website and there were massive problems. The hoopla may be ridiculous, but it's a really neat limited edition and I can understand why people want it.

What Sony hasn't told anyone about yet is the "Real PSXperience" feature of this model: you have to turn it upside down in order to make it work :)

I get it to some extent, cuz I played it a ton as a pre-teen, but I think most people did. It's still a great system with a million great games. Not exactly the unique library of some of the other retro systems, but still had a million great games.
